Club Governance

FLSC continuity depends on clear authority, documented decisions, and volunteers who know where their role begins and ends.

Governing layers

  1. Applicable law and aviation regulation
  2. Articles/bylaws and formal board/member decisions
  3. Current club policies and approved operating manuals
  4. Role-specific assignments and qualifications
  5. Day-of operational coordination
  6. Informational resources such as this wiki

Higher-authority and more current sources control.

Good governance means recording decisions where members can find them, labeling effective dates and owners, separating proposals from policy, reviewing safety/financial procedures, preserving historical records, and never leaving institutional memory in one person’s inbox.

Published FLSC bylaws — confirm current status with club leadership.
