Member Duty Roles
This is orientation, not a qualification record or assignment roster.
Coordinates the field operating picture under current procedures: briefings, sequencing, runway/launch configuration, staffing, threat response, and pause/stop decisions.
Provides authorized instruction, endorsements, student supervision, transition training, and conservative judgment. The instructor decides what is appropriate for the learner and conditions.
Operates within aircraft, regulatory, club, and personal limits; coordinates with the launch team; and protects safe climb, release, and recovery.
Supports staging and launch using approved signals and positive coordination. A trained wing runner is an active safety barrier, not merely someone holding a wing.
Maintains required records, supports sequencing, relays status accurately, and keeps attention on the active runway environment.
Arrives prepared, participates in ground work, protects aircraft, speaks up about uncertainty, and stays engaged after their own flight.
Anyone should call attention to an unsafe condition. Stop, clarify, and rebuild shared understanding.
