Winter 2019 Astropy Coordination Meeting

Travel information: Fly to Albuquerque airport ("Sunport", ABQ) and drive about 1 hour to Socorro, NM. Taxis are extremely expensive and there are no taxis or ride share services available in Socorro in general. Renting a car or sharing a rental car is the best way to get around.

Lodging

We have a room block at the Best Western in Socorro checking in Dec. 8 and checking out Dec. 13. We have 25 rooms at the gov’t rate. To book a room in this block, please call (575) 838-0556 (don't use the online web page!). The group name is NRAO-Astrophy (yes...). This block will expire on November 21 so please book enough in advance! two weeks prior to the arrival date. It is a short drive or a ~25-30 minute walk from the Best Western to the DSOC.

The Very Large Array (VLA) is not far and is worth visiting. We will have a group visit to the site on Wednesday (details TBD).
