Use a current desktop Chrome or Edge over HTTPS or localhost for local WebUSB radios. BrowserSDR detects WebUSB, WebGPU, Canvas2D and audio codec support separately. Operating-system USB drivers and permissions still need setup; the in-app Help & setup page provides device-specific guidance.
- Receiver support is receive-only. BrowserSDR does not enable TX or write persistent device firmware. Required bladeRF/USRP images come from the official vendor and are explicitly imported and verified for volatile RAM loading.
- bladeRF xA5/xA9 and 19.2 MS/s profiles remain experimental. A test pass with fixtures or generated I/Q does not establish reliable RF reception across devices, operating systems and loaded hosts.
- DAB+ requires sufficient capture bandwidth and browser HE-AAC WebCodecs support. Legacy MPEG Layer II DAB and encrypted services are unsupported.
- APRS and RS41 generated-RF and independent component checks are distinct from full off-air acceptance. Broad physical receiver, off-air APRS/wideband RS41 and long-duration matrix checks remain pending. RS41 calibrated PTU and encrypted variants are unsupported.
- Remote receivers supply server-processed audio and spectrum. They do not supply raw I/Q to the local decoders, recording or Explorer. An HTTPS frontend requires compatible HTTPS/WSS receivers. Kiwi-specific secure-origin/listening acceptance remains a separate physical/browser check.
- Spectrum levels are relative, uncalibrated values. Mode labels, frequency matches and catalog entries do not prove a transmitter identity.
- Recording storage is bounded: up to 2 GiB with OPFS, 32 MiB in memory, and 32 MiB for replay imports or ZIP data. Download retained captures before closing or reloading.
- Automated CI uses synthetic data, mocks and licensed test fixtures. Optional private RF and real-stack checks can skip; such skips are not hardware or live-service acceptance.
- The generated RS41 replay browser check can fail intermittently in CI. Public-source CI on 11 October 2026 passed with one production RS41 retry; the local 296-case browser suite passed without retries. Its cause remains under investigation; no timing repair is established.
