We each have to give a brief outline of what we said in this Standup.

Awais:

User Interface:
Iterated over table design concept, adjusted user interface to rectangular space - changing from a 4 person square table to a 6 person table. Adjusted and developed mockups through paper prototyping for how to cater to different screen sections for Social and Mainstream media newsfeeds and play areas. Call to Action
Developed Logo and Call to Action with Trevor's reference, to drive table context to user through physical signage.

Build
Started development of table structure, built mockup of table on illustrator according to panel sizes and dimensions both for cutting and etching, helped contribute to physical build of table structure

Jonathan:

Figured out Twitter's API and setup a PHP file to interact with them. Setting up a zone for the file to go onto.

Found a code base called TouchScript (https://github.com/TouchScript/TouchScript/wiki) to use for multi touch interaction, and set through attaching it to screen. Also learned it doesn't work on Mac.

Built a prototype interface.

Currently using NewsAPI.org, we want something better as this doesn't provide keywords related to the articles.

Shiva:

Primary Research: Continued ethnographic studies at different coffee shops to ascertain behavioural patterns of multiple people at a table to gather more specific interactions between people such as passing the newspaper, playing with objects on the tables, writing and reading together.

Conceptualisation (iteration):_ Reiterated the UI of the table along with Awais to understand the implication on behavioural patterns, physical and digital interactions associated with the user interface.

Build: Worked on building the physical structure of the table.

Trevor: Research has seen a different turn to the concept. Where the table was about just search and comparing the news that related to them, it can be utilised to bring technology to the sharing of news. The traditional way people would share news at a coffee shop would be individuals sitting and reading individual parts of the newspaper. The table is endeavouring to bring people to read, share and discuss the news appearing in front of them on the table.

The search for an Earth has lead to using a globe from the Unity assets store which allows some interactivity.

The build of the table framework has begun and the form has changed from square to rectangle due to the shape of the interactive screen. The table is slightly bigger then the screen providing a ledge to place personal belongings and coffee mugs.
