Installation and First Battle

CobbleCoop must be installed on the server and on every Player joining the server. Use the JAR matching your loader; do not mix Fabric and NeoForge files.

Supported base

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Java 21
  • Cobblemon 1.7.3
  • Radical Cobblemon Trainers (RCT)
  • Radical Cobblemon Trainers API

Fabric

  • Fabric Loader 0.17.2 or newer
  • Fabric API 0.116.6+1.21.1 or newer
  • Forge Config API Port 21.1.1
  • CobbleCoop Fabric JAR

Mod Menu is optional, but recommended if you want an easy button for the CobbleCoop configuration screen.

NeoForge

  • NeoForge 21.1.182 or newer for Minecraft 1.21.1
  • CobbleCoop NeoForge JAR
  • Any libraries required by your RCT and Cobblemon installation, including Architectury API or Kotlin for Forge when those mods request them

Optional integrations

  • Cobblemon Mega Showdown 1.9.3 or newer
  • Cobblemon Battle Positions
  • Fix Cobblemon Pokemon Experience 1.1.1

Open the co-op menu

The default is Sneak + Right Click on a valid RCT Trainer.

The client setting has three modes:

Mode Result
SNEAK_RIGHT_CLICK Sneak + Right Click opens CobbleCoop.
RIGHT_CLICK Normal Right Click opens CobbleCoop when the server allows it.
DISABLED RCT keeps every normal Trainer interaction.

If direct Right Click is disabled by the server, Sneak + Right Click remains available.

Battle modes

One Trainer (2 vs 1)

Both Players fight one Trainer. That Trainer supplies the enemy team.

Two Trainers (2 vs 2)

Both Players fight the first Trainer and a second nearby Trainer selected in the setup menu. The second Trainer must:

  • Be a different Trainer
  • Have valid RCT data
  • Have at least two Pokemon
  • Be available and not reserved by another battle
  • Be valid for both Players under the server progression rules

An invalid Trainer appears as an unavailable card with the reason shown on hover.
