OrcSDR turns an M5Stack Tab5 and an RTL-SDR Blog V4 into a handheld radio. Plug in the SDR, start the Tab5, and use the touch dashboards to listen to FM, watch aircraft traffic, or passively monitor LoRa activity.
OrcSDR is under active development. The screens shown here are real project screens, but not every dashboard is a finished live receiver. In particular, the P25 screens are a preview and are clearly marked as such.
- Get the required hardware and start with Getting Started.
- From the boot screen, wait until the OrcSDR button appears, then tap it.
- Open a dashboard from Home:
- FM Radio for broadcast radio and RDS.
- ADS-B Aircraft for 1090 MHz aircraft traffic.
- LoRa Monitor for receive-only mesh monitoring.
- P25 Preview to see the planned scanner workflow.
- Settings to change device preferences.
- If something is not working, see Troubleshooting.
The Home screen is a safe place to return to. It shows the last-used dashboards, live spectrum, waterfall, frequency, volume, and signal level.
