Violet's Revenge is an open-source externship and portfolio project. It is structured to recruit laid-off developers and students who need practicum hours — people who need real shipped work, not just exposure.
Code: MIT Art, audio, and lore: CC BY-NC 4.0
Milestone-based rev-share (Rev-Share Point System) after cost recoupment and an operations reserve. Contributors earn rev-share points tied to shipped milestones, not hours logged.
- Developers — any skill level; the game is open source and the repo is public
- Artists — character art, environment, UI; design direction is gothic forensics, horror noir
- Writers — lore, narrative, dialogue; the canon and character sheets are in the wiki
- QA/Playtesters — the Phase 1 prototype is accessible via the Discord server
Playtester access to the Discord is not via an application form. Players must win the HTML game (Phase 1 prototype) to receive a QR code or link that grants entry.
People over Profits. No heavy legal or contractual complexity between collaborators. Rev-share is the model. The work is the credential.

- Discord: entry via Phase 1 game completion
