Firmware Fn readNodeMP0

readNodeMP0 — RoutePath::readNodeMP0

Part of Firmware Reversing.

  • Symbol-table address: 0xb58020 (11.38MB)
  • Status: 🔴 Found, unreachable
  • Full mangled name: readNodeMP0__9RoutePathUiR5VNode

This is the single name the whole VNode/cross-tile pipeline investigation most wanted — the function this project's own README already named (via debug-string mining, long before the load base was recovered) as reading a VNode struct directly from an .mp0 tile.

Why it's unreachable

Its file offset (11.38MB) falls past the confirmed 9MB boundary for the recovered load base (VA = file_offset + 0xf688dcf4) — see Firmware Reversing for how that boundary was established. Concretely for this function: none of its 5 symbol-table fields resolve to a valid prologue, and a ±200,000-byte window search around its naive target found zero real function starts nearby — not a small calibration miss, a genuinely code-free stretch at this specific location under the base tried so far.

What would unblock this

Either a different, currently-unknown load base for the 9MB-24MB tail of the native region, or real ground truth this project doesn't have (a symbol map, a debugger attached to real hardware, or the original build's own unstripped object files).
