Not to be confused with ResolveUnsetNodeID (AdasDBAccess::ResolveUnsetNodeID) — a different class, different address, and (unlike this one) fully traced and reachable. The two names look almost identical, which is exactly why this page exists separately rather than merging them: this project's own confirmed lesson (see Firmware Reversing) is that similar names are not evidence of shared identity or behavior.

This is also the ORIGINAL function this whole VNode-pipeline investigation started from — named via plain debug-string mining, long before the load base was recovered, as direct confirmation that vnodeID is "sometimes absent/needs resolution."

Why it's unreachable
