Data files (.tdms)

APD detector files (.mat)

The APD .mat file contains the detector instrument response and gain curve. They are stored under 'APDDetectorFile' folder.

  • Channel 1 --> Mxxxxxxxx_laser_reflection.mat
  • Channel 2 --> Mxxxxxxxx_DCS.mat
  • Channel 3 --> Mxxxxxxxx_DASPI.mat

xxxxxxxx is the serial number of each APD detector and will be different for each system.

The program remembers the location of the last used APD .mat file and will attempt to load those on startup so that you do not need to select them every time you run the software. However, the first time you run the software on your PC (or you change the file path) you will get warnings as shown below. If this happens, please manually select the files.

ADPLoadWarning

Calibration file (.tdms)

Not in use for the moments.

BG file

Please selects the corresponding system background file. After the background file is loaded, the waveform will be shown in the figures.

BGLoaded

If no background is needed, select 'BG not needed' check box. The text box will be updated to inform you that background subtraction will not be performed.

BGnotNeeded

Proceed to "Decon Setting"

After data, APD detectors file, and system background are all loaded, you can proceed to the next tab "Decon Setting". If any of the above files is missing, you will not be able to switch to "Decon Setting" tab and a warning will be displayed as shown below.
