Connect to a server

Connect to use a group's shared templates, progress, and collaboration tools. Ask the server owner for its address and an access token.

Your local templates stay in this browser and remain separate from the server.

1. Open Settings

Open the Caelestis panel in Wplace. Click the gear in its header.

The Settings gear outlined in orange.

2. Add the address

Enter the server address and click Add. Use the address your server owner gave you; the screenshot shows an example.

For a normal site address, Caelestis adds /backend automatically. If the owner gave you a complete endpoint, enter that instead.

3. Open the server entry

The new server appears below the address field. If its controls are hidden, click the name to expand them.

4. Enter your token

Paste the token into Access token and click Connect. If the server permits anonymous reading, it may connect without this step.

Use Report for painting reports, presence, and claims. Read lets you view shared work. Ask the owner for another token if yours lacks the access you need.

After connecting, use the back arrow beside Settings to return to the template panel. The server's templates appear under its name.

Change or remove a connection

To replace a token, expand the connected server, paste the new value, and click Update.

Disconnect removes the connection from this browser. It does not remove the server's templates or other people's access.

If the connection fails, see Troubleshooting. Server owners can create tokens through Authentication and tokens.
