Moblin on iPhone

- Start streaming.
The deep link contains the authenticated SRT publisher URL and the profile values from profile.env.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Video codec | H.264/AVC |
| Resolution | 1920×1080 |
| Frame rate | 30 fps |
| Video bitrate | 6 Mbit/s |
| B-frames | Disabled |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds |
| Audio bitrate | 128 kbit/s |
| SRT latency | 2000 ms |
| Adaptive bitrate | Enabled |
These are starting values. Mobile uplink capacity varies by location, network congestion and movement.
Change one variable at a time:
- Keep adaptive bitrate enabled.
- Increase SRT latency from 2000 to 3000–5000 ms.
- Reduce video bitrate.
- Reduce resolution to
1280x720. - Reduce frame rate to 25 or 30 fps.
Edit profile.env, restart services before production and import the profile again. See Configuration.
If the deep link does not open, use the publisher URL displayed by the dashboard. The URL resembles:
srt://TAILSCALE_IP:8890?streamid=publish:live:mobile:PUBLISH_PASSWORD&pkt_size=1316
Copy it from your dashboard instead of constructing it manually.
If a mobile network blocks SRT/UDP, try the authenticated RTMP publisher URL from the dashboard. RTMP uses TCP 1935; it is a fallback, not the preferred contribution path.
- Tailscale shows connected.
- Safari can reload the dashboard.
- Starting Moblin changes the dashboard to LIVE.
- Inbound byte count and bitrate increase.
- H.264 and audio tracks appear.
The imported URL contains the publisher password. Do not include it in screenshots, screen recordings, exported Moblin settings or public support posts. If exposed, follow credential rotation in Security.
This project receives regular SRT through a single Tailnet route. It does not bond Wi-Fi and cellular and does not include an SRTLA receiver.
