- Python 3 at
/usr/bin/python3 - Git,

xcode-select --installgit clone https://github.com/nikpottbecker/tailnet-irl-server.git
cd tailnet-irl-server
./install-macos.sh
./selftest-macos.shThe installer:
- Reads the active Tailscale IPv4 address and rejects non-Tailscale addresses.
- Downloads the correct MediaMTX build for the Mac architecture.
- Verifies it against MediaMTX's official SHA-256 manifest.
- Creates separate random publisher and reader credentials if none exist.
- Preserves existing credentials and configuration during updates.
- Installs two per-user LaunchAgents.
- Waits for the private dashboard health check before completing.
No sudo access is required for the application installation.
