What is a Subutai Environment
As a Peer-to-Peer Cloud and IoT Platform, Subutai creates dynamic virtual private networks across Subutai Peers. The peers participating in creating this secure private network can be on the edge of the Internet, or in large data centers.
Cloud owners specify governance rules which provide constraints that peers must satisfy to swarm together and form this isolated network over the Internet. They are authorized by cloud owner policies in this sense, and still need to authenticate into the network. Once part of the network, they contribute resources into the network as container hosts with MAC addresses and IP addresses inside the network.
The entirety of resources, the peers in the swarm, and the overlay network formed over the Internet is a Subutai Virtual Private Cloud Environment, or just Subutai Environment for short.
