Matcha Flavoured Companion is a client-side Fabric mod for customising Matcha's visuals, finding its custom items in Creative and JEI, and navigating a larger advancements menu. Install Matcha's gameplay content separately. The Companion includes matching resource assets and JEI.
This guide describes Companion 1.4.2. One Companion JAR supports Matcha 1.03, 1.12, 1.12.5 and 1.12.7-beta. Read the compatibility page before choosing Matcha; matching a Minecraft version alone does not establish support for every Matcha release.

Use the Matcha leaf button on the title screen or pause menu, or select Matcha Flavoured Companion in Mod Menu and open its configuration. The compatibility label shows the current detected Matcha version and detection source, or explains why no gameplay profile is active.
The root settings contain Visuals, Catalogue, and Convenience. Visual changes made in submenus are staged. Return to the main settings and press Save Changes to apply the complete visual configuration together.

The Companion does not install Matcha gameplay data, edit a world's datapacks, change server recipes, or alter item statistics. It does not need to be installed on the server.
