This script generates a synthetic slanted-edge image for MTF validation in radiographic imaging systems. The edge is defined on an oversampled grid and binned to detector resolution for accurate pixel-aperture modeling, with optional Gaussian blur. Outputs include both 32-bit floating-point and 16-bit images for standard slanted-edge MTF analysis.
