SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.2-beta.4
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.2-beta.4 (test version).

Far fewer copies to the graphics card: at the end of every frame, the graphics thread used to forget which parts of the game's memory the graphics card already had, so the next frame copied every model it drew over again (in one level of Spyro's Adventure, about 16 MB per frame in nearly a thousand small copies, while the game itself had only changed about 3 MB). Now a part is copied again only when the game writes to it. Standing in each game's hub at 2x resolution, uncapped, on a test PC:
- Spyro's Adventure: 107 to 126 FPS (+18 %; in two levels 70 to 81 and 68 to 91)
- Giants: 114 to 124 FPS (+9 %)
- Swap Force: 93 to 113 FPS (+22 %)
- Trap Team: 94 to 113 FPS (+20 %)
- SuperChargers: 134 to 136 FPS (the graphics card is the limit there)
- Imaginators: 88 to 120 FPS (+37 %)

The easy way: install Core of Light, the launcher. It sets this game up from your disc and keeps it up to date by itself.
On its own: run SuperChargersRecompSetup-0.4.2-beta.4.exe and point it at your own Xbox 360 disc (an ISO file or an extracted folder). It's not signed, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC": "More info" > "Run anyway". The README says which disc version it needs.
The game's data (graphics, sound, levels, movies) doesn't come with it: the setup takes it from your own disc.
Problems: F4 > Game > "Report a problem" in the game, then a new issue.

- A bit less CPU work per frame: the graphics thread no longer asks the logger on every one of the thousands of register writes per frame, and at higher resolutions it no longer works out a texture's whole memory layout every time it looks one up. Where the CPU is the limit, as in Spyro's Adventure, that's about 4 % more FPS (68.2 to 70.8 in one level on a test PC, on top of beta.2's 11 %).

SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.2-beta.2 (test version).
- No more waiting at the end of each frame: the thread that turns the game's graphics commands into Direct3D 12 work used to stop at every frame's end until the whole frame had been handed to the driver, because the picture is put on screen right after. Now it goes on with the next frame, and the picture waits for its frame instead. Where the CPU is the limit, as in Spyro's Adventure, that's about 11 % more FPS (61.6 to 68.5 in one level on a test PC).

SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.2-beta.1 (test version).
- Less copying before full-screen passes drawn as rectangles: some of the game's full-screen passes are drawn as one rectangle instead of a triangle, and the copy that beta.8 leaves out was still made for those. Now it's left out there too. On a test PC at 2x resolution, the whole skip now gives about 2.8 % more FPS in Swap Force (87.8 to 90.2) and 1.8 % in Trap Team (90.7 to 92.3) compared to having it off. Checked in all six games with the left-out parts painted magenta first: none showed up.

SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.1-beta.9
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.9 (test version).
- Less copying before full-screen passes, now in SuperChargers and Imaginators too: beta.8 left out the copy of old graphics memory before a full-screen pass paints over it, but SuperChargers and Imaginators draw those passes with culling on, so there it never kicked in. Now it does. On a test PC at 2x resolution: about 1.5 % more FPS in SuperChargers (127.4 to 129.3) and 0.7 % in Imaginators. Checked again in all six games with the left-out parts painted magenta first: none showed up.

SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.1-beta.8
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.8 (test version).
- Less copying before full-screen passes: when the game draws a full-screen pass into a buffer that last held something else, the old contents of the emulated graphics memory were copied in first, only to be painted over right away. Now that copy is left out when the draw is shown to cover all of it (checked on the CPU for each draw). On a test PC at 2x resolution: about 1 % more FPS in Trap Team, a bit less in Swap Force. Checked in all six games with the left-out parts painted magenta first: none showed up.

SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.7 (test version).
- Fewer things missing for a moment: the first time something shows up, its shaders are prepared in the background, and until now it was left out of the picture for a frame or a few while that happened (a whole ship could blink away). Now the game waits up to 4 ms per frame for them instead. In tests with an empty shader cache, the frames with something missing went down from 78 to 7 in Giants, 22 to 5 in Swap Force and 36 to 2 in Trap Team, and what's left is mostly in loading screens. No FPS change seen.

SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.1-beta.6
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.6 (test version).
- Less CPU work per draw: a draw that uses the same render targets as the one before it no longer looks them up and checks who owns the emulated graphics memory all over again. About 4 % more FPS where the CPU is the limit, as in Spyro's Adventure (59 to 61.5 in one level on a test PC). Every skipped check was compared against the full one in all six games: no difference.

SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.1-beta.5
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.5 (test version).
- Faster at higher resolution scales: most copies out of the emulated graphics chip's own memory now go straight from the picture to the texture, without an extra copy in between. About 3-4 % more FPS at scale 2 in Swap Force, Trap Team and Imaginators on a test PC, less in Spyro's Adventure and SuperChargers; Giants doesn't use it. Every such copy was checked to give exactly the same bytes as before.
direct_host_resolve = falsein the settings file turns it off. - Show cheats: F4 > Extras > Show cheats. Off takes every cheat off that page and switches them all off, so achievements unlock as usual.

SuperChargers Recompiled 0.4.1-beta.4
SuperChargers Recompiled, 0.4.1-beta.4 (test version).
- Faster where the CPU is the limit, part two: the graphics commands now go to the driver on a thread of their own, while the emulated graphics chip already works on the next ones. Spyro's Adventure Level 36 went from about 54 to about 58 FPS on a test PC. If something flickers or crashes that didn't before, please report it;
