Widgets
The dashboard has 38 widgets. Add them, size them and set them up from the editor in any browser at home: http://homecanvas.local (or :8090). Each widget's settings appear when you select it.
This list is generated from the app itself, so it matches what the editor offers.

The time, with the date underneath.
Settings: 24-hour clock, Show seconds, Show the date.
Default size: 4×2 cells.
Upcoming events from one or more published calendar links, as a schedule or a month.
Settings: View, Calendars, Look ahead (days), Most events to show.
Default size: 4×3 cells.
Kitchen timers. Tap a time to start one, tap its ring to pause, hold to cancel. When one is done it plays a sound and says which timer it was; tap the ring to stop it. They keep running when you leave the dashboard.
Settings: Times to offer, Sound when done, Say which timer is done.
Default size: 3×3 cells.
Sunrise and sunset, where the sun is now, how fast the days are changing, and the moon’s phase. Worked out on the panel from the place set in Settings → Weather.

Default size: 3×2 cells.
Days until the things you are looking forward to — birthdays, holidays, trips. The soonest first.
Settings: Dates, Bank holidays, How many to show.
Default size: 3×2 cells.
Current conditions and a short forecast. Uses the location set in Settings → Weather.
Settings: Forecast, Show current conditions, Show what it feels like, Show today’s high and low, Tap for the full forecast.
Default size: 4×3 cells.
Air quality, today’s pollen for grass, trees and weeds, and UV, for the place set in Settings → Weather. From Open-Meteo, like the weather.

Default size: 3×2 cells.
Whether it is about to rain: the next two hours in a sentence — "Rain from 14:20, light" — and as bars. For the place in Settings → Weather.
Default size: 3×2 cells.
The current track with transport controls. Shows Spotify when it is active, otherwise the phone over Bluetooth. The artwork moves to suit the tile’s shape.
Settings: Show artwork, Blur the artwork behind the tile, Show transport controls, Show the like button.
Default size: 5×2 cells.
Controls a Hisense VIDAA television: power, volume, channel and a direction pad. Set the address in Settings → Television.
Settings: Show a row of inputs, Buttons only, no direction pad.

A photo from your Immich server — at random from the whole library, or from one album. Changes on a timer, and on a tap.
Settings: Photos from, Album, Change every (seconds), Fill the tile, Show the file name.

Your photos from this date in past years, from Immich’s memories, with how long ago and where. Tap or swipe for the next.
Settings: Change photo every, Show other photos on days without memories.
Default size: 4×6 cells.
Your Immich library in numbers — photos, videos, how much space it takes, how many added lately — with the newest photos along the bottom.
Settings: Show the newest photos.
Default size: 4×3 cells.
Birthdays coming up, with faces, from the people Immich recognises in your photos. Set a date of birth on a person in Immich and they appear here.

Which bins go out next and when. From the evening before it says to put them out; tap it once they are out.
Settings: Bins, Start reminding at (hour, the evening before), Collected by (hour, on the day), Say it out loud at.

Sticky notes for the household. Share text from the phone app, or post one from any phone on the home network at the editor’s address followed by /notes. Tap a note, then Done, to take it down.
Default size: 5×3 cells.
One list the whole house shares. Add to it from any phone on the home network at the editor’s address followed by /list; tap an item on the panel to tick it off. Ticked items clear themselves after half a day.
Default size: 4×4 cells.
How clean the electricity is right now in your region, the next day as bars, and the greenest three hours to run the washing machine or dishwasher. From National Grid ESO — no key needed.

Default size: 3×3 cells.
Govee lights and plugs. Tap one to switch it, drag along its bar for brightness, tap a colour. Works over the home network for devices with LAN Control turned on in the Govee app, or through Govee with an API key.

Home Assistant entities you pick — temperatures, who is home, what is playing — each as a small card. Lights and switches change with a tap; locks and doors are only ever shown.

The week’s dinners: tonight’s large, tomorrow’s underneath. After dinner time it moves on to tomorrow.
Settings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Move on to tomorrow at (hour).
Default size: 3×2 cells.
A column per person with today’s chores to tap off. Each earns stars; a weekly goal unlocks a reward. "Anyone" chores appear for everybody and go to whoever does them. Resets each Monday.

The next trains from your station, like the board on the platform: time, where to, platform, and whether it is on time. From Realtime Trains — it needs a free token from api-portal.rtt.io.

Headlines from any RSS or Atom feed.

The Omarchy keyboard shortcuts as a cheat sheet, one section at a time. Tap a section to jump to it, or tap the sheet to turn the page. Sized for a page of its own.

Something that happened on this date, from Wikipedia — a new one every half minute, or tap for the next.

Runs Ookla speedtest and shows download and upload on one dial as it goes, with ping, jitter and packet loss. Tap to start. Needs the speedtest CLI installed — see INSTALL.md.

Speed between this panel and another machine on your network, using a self-hosted OpenSpeedTest server. Tap to run. Measures your own wiring rather than your internet connection.

Your router, switches and access points with model, firmware and uptime, and a marker against anything with an update. Needs a UniFi API key — Network → Settings → Control Plane → Integrations.

Everything connected, newest first, and which device each is connected through. The API reports no signal strength, so none is shown. Needs a UniFi API key — Network → Settings → Control Plane → Integrations.
Default size: 4×4 cells.
Live up and down rates on the internet connection, graphed over about the chosen window. Needs a UniFi API key — Network → Settings → Control Plane → Integrations.

The router's own built-in speed test — what the line achieved, measured by the router rather than by this panel. Read only: the console runs it on its own schedule and cannot be asked to run one with an API key. Needs a UniFi API key — Network → Settings → Control Plane → Integrations.

CPU, memory, disk and temperature for this Pi and your other machines, and whether their containers are running. Other machines need Glances — on CasaOS, one click in its app store.

A light per thing that should be up — Immich, CasaOS, the router, the Mac mini — with how quickly it answers. Tap one to check again, or to wake a sleeping computer.

Days left on your sites’ HTTPS certificates, the soonest to expire first — so a renewal that quietly failed is caught before visitors see a warning.

Updates waiting across the house: Immich against its latest release, Home Assistant’s own updates, and UniFi firmware — in one list, or a tick when there are none.
