Hosting other servers
One Nyerk can serve several Discord servers, for example friends' guilds or a community's sister servers. Each server has its own owner and admins, settings, games, roles channel, members, logs and history; nothing is shared between them, and nobody in one server can see another's data. The one exception is opt-in: two servers' owners can share one party finder (see Games). You, the host, can see and manage every server.
- In the Developer Portal → your app → Bot, turn on Public Bot so people other than you can invite it.
- Open the web page's Servers page (host only, in the top bar). It shows the invite link; give it to the other server's owner.
- When they add the bot, their server appears on Servers as waiting. (If it doesn't, they probably used Discord's Add App button, which may add only the commands: see Discord permissions.) Nyerk does nothing there until you Approve it, so strangers can't use your bot.
- Once approved, the server's owner signs in to the web page with Discord, picks the game (AION 2 or another), and sets up their channels and roles. Settings → Create all missing channels and the Party finder page's Create missing roles save typing IDs. If Nyerk shows as offline in their member list or #logs stays empty, it can't see the channels: see Discord permissions. They and their admins manage everything from there.
- The server's owner (in Discord) is the owner of their server in Nyerk.
- Admins: anyone with Manage Server in that server, plus any roles its owner adds on Settings → Access and security → Admin roles. See Access levels.
-
You keep the Servers page, the host password and every server.
GUILD_IDin your env is your own server: it is approved from the start.
Servers → Remove deletes everything Nyerk keeps for that server (settings, games, events, timers, roles setup, party finder, members, logs, history) and can make the bot leave it. If the bot is removed from a server in Discord instead, its data stays until you remove it here.
An install from before servers keeps all its data and becomes your GUILD_ID server on the next start (or, without GUILD_ID, the one server the bot is in). A copy of the database from just before is kept as data/nyerk-before-v2.db. Everyone signs in again once.
