Normal Control

Normals

Control main normals of water surface

Normals

  • Enable Anti-Tile Toggle | Help prevent normal map tiling by enabling this toggle. Works best on small water volumes
  • Water Flow X | How fast water flows on the X plane
  • Water Flow Y | How fast water flows on the Y plane

Micro Normals

  • Enable Micro Normals Toggle | Enables Micro Normals
  • Micro Normal Map | Using the same normal as the regular normals will work well
  • Tiling | Keep high, ~50 - 50
  • Micro Normal Close Fade Distance | Keep at 0 unless you have a different setup
  • Micro Normal Far Fade Distance | Keep around 4-5 unless you have a different setup

Rain Drop Ripples

Rain Drop Ripples are located in the Other category at the bottom of the list

  • Enable Rain Drop Ripples Toggle | Enables Rain Drop Ripples
  • Rain Drop Ripple Tiling | Smaller for smaller pools, larger for larger pools. Rain drop ripples with small tiling will not be visible at a distance, so consider the size of your pool
  • Rain Drop Ripple Intensity | Changes intensity of rain drop ripple normals, depends on how hard you want it to be raining, 2 - 5
  • Rain Drop Ripple Speed | Since the rain drop ripples are a flipbook texture, higher speeds look better. 25 - 35
  • Distorted UV Influence | How much Distorted UV's influence the rain drop ripples, keep relatively low, ~0.1 - 0.25
