Run BizzCMS on your own computer in a few minutes. No Cloudflare account is needed for this.
-
Node.js 24 (LTS) and npm. Check with
node -v. - Git.
git clone https://github.com/BizzCMS/bizzcms.git
cd bizzcms
npm ci
npm run setup
npm run devnpm run setup prepares the local database and creates your administrator. It is safe to run again; it never resets your account or content.
- Open http://127.0.0.1:8787/admin.
- Sign in as
admin@bizzcms.local. The password is in the fileprivate/local-admin.txt. - You land on the Dashboard.
Next time, npm run dev is all you need. Stop it with Ctrl+C.
| Sidebar | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | An overview: content, media, users and live requests. |
| Content | All pages, posts and categories. |
| Blog / News | Your posts, split by section, with counts. |
| Collections | The content types of your site. |
| Users | People who can sign in, and their roles. |
| Plugins | Features you can switch on and off, including SEO and Google Analytics. |
| Settings | General settings, security and API access. |
| Dark mode | Switch between light and dark. |
- Locally, the database, media and cache are emulated in the folder
.wrangler/. Delete it only if you want to start over with an empty site. - E-mails are printed in the terminal instead of being sent.
Next: Writing and Editing or Deploying to Cloudflare.
