Persistent Chest
The campsite chest belongs to the player who crafted the kit. It is ordinary vanilla chest storage while the camp is deployed, then archived so the same items return on the next placement.
- While the camp is up, chest contents are saved in the background.
- Pack-up saves the chest before the tent is removed. If that save fails, pack-up is refused so items are not lost.
- The next successful deploy restores that saved chest into the new tent.
You do not empty the chest before packing up. Standalone Andy's Portable Campsite keeps the items for you.
If the packed kit is lost, burned, dropped into the void, or otherwise destroyed, craft a new kit. The replacement is linked to the same player identity and reconnects to the same chest archive instead of starting empty.
Recrafting does not create a second active camp. Deploy is still limited to one camp per player.
Other players cannot open the protected campsite chest or pack up the tent. This is intended for multiplayer exploration: your camp is yours while it is deployed.
A kit stamped for another player cannot be deployed by you.
The chest archive follows the Minecraft player identity in that world. Use the same account that crafted and deployed the original camp. A different player, or a different identity in that world, gets a separate archive.
The archive is the campsite chest block and its contents. It is not a copy of the tent, bed, lanterns, or campfire. Those are rebuilt from the kit each time you deploy.
