What happens if pressing the key has no effect?

Do not forget to connect your Michi to the computer. On the back of the Michi, there ought to be a red light that indicates operation. Its on? If not, there may be a problem with the circuit board, USB cable, or computer.

  • One method is to attach an alligator cable to the card, touch the other end with your hand, and then repeat. Don't forget to use the Ground pins to complete the circuit.

  • Commonplace objects should have some conductivity when you connect with them. Aluminum foil, for instance, should work for a banana, but plastic, most textiles, or paper won't work directly. Materials may always be combined, for instance by wetting the paper or spreading play-doh over the plastic.

One of the keys won't stop being pressed over and over again! What should I do?

  • Attempt disconnecting then replugging the Michi from your PC.
  • Disconnect all the clips or alligator cables, then begin attaching them one at a time.
  • Check your connections if your jammed key is still pushing. They could unintentionally contact it in some way. Try to disassemble and reassemble objects.
  • Maybe one of the insulators (or non-conductors) you're employing isn't sufficiently insulating. Use an alternative material if possible.

My Michi does not respond, it is not recognized by the computer or I tried to program it and it failed.

The Michi features a recovery mechanism for reprogramming called "bootloader." To access bootloader mode, please go to the bootloader section of this Wiki.

Once in this mode, insert this file in the pop-up window that appears, and your Michi should restart and begin functioning properly.
