feature image equal_v0.2
The feature-image-equal takes two images as input. According to parameters, its role is to fit both image exposition. It can align both image on the lowest exposure or the contrary. As output, both images are exported.
Grayscale images are expected by the software. If color images are given as input, the OpenCV image reader convert it automatically into grayscale images.
The feature-image-equal software expect the following parameters. Starting with the stream parameters :
--input-a -a, --input-b -b
Path of the two input images.
--output-a -c, --output-b -d
Path of the two output images. Output image a correspond to
input image a.
Exposure alignment mode parameter :
--mode -m
Mode of exposure alignment. If the mode is set to one, both
output images will fit the highest exposure. Any other value
will align both image to the lowest exposure.

One easily observe that highest exposure alignment mode can be extremely dangerous in case of high exposure differences between the two input images.
The software binary can be build using its specific makefile by simply typing in its base directory :
$ make clean && make build [OPENMP=false]
The binary is placed in the local bin directory and is not copied in the main bin directory. To generate the documentation, use the command :
$ make clean-documentation && make documentation
To install or uninstall the binaries on the local computer, use the commands :
# make install
# make uninstall
