feature match SIFT_v0.1

Overview

The feature-match-SIFT software is a front-end for OpenCV implemented Flann matcher adapted to OpenCV SIFT implementation descriptors. It takes two input images and the keypoints files associated with the two images and generates the matches file as output.

Grayscale images are expected by the software. If color images are given as input, the OpenCV image reader convert it automatically into grayscale images.

Usage

The feature-match-SIFT software expects the following stream arguments and parameters :

--input-a -i, --input-b -j

Paths of the input images.

--keyfile-a -k, --keyfile-b -l

Paths of the input keypoint files.

--output -o

Path of the output matches file.

Demonstration of typical results and mandatory filtering process of keypoint matcher can be found on the feature-match-sieve page.

Compilation

The software binary can be build using its specific makefile by simply typing in its base directory :

$ make clean && make

The binary is placed in the local bin directory and is not copied in the feature-suite main bin directory. To generate the documentation, use the command :

$ make documentation

When documentation is generated, the previous one is preliminary removed.
