Cookbooks and Tags

Cookbooks

Cookbooks (called "collections" internally) are named lists of recipes you curate. From any recipe, use Save to a list to add it to a cookbook (or create a new one on the spot). From the Cookbooks page you can:

  • Rename a cookbook or change its visibility (public/private — see Sharing and Visibility).
  • Reorder recipes by dragging them; swipe to remove a recipe with an undo option if you swipe by mistake.
  • Print to PDF — export the whole cookbook as one PDF document.

Tags

Any recipe can carry free-form tags. Tags are:

  • Clickable everywhere they appear (recipe cards, the recipe page) — clicking one takes you to the browse page filtered to that tag.
  • Browsable — the Browse tags page lists every tag currently in use across the app with a count, so you can explore by category without knowing what to search for.
  • Autocompleted when you type them into a recipe, against tags already in use, to cut down on near-duplicate tags ("dessert" vs. "desserts").

Cookbooks are for organizing recipes into named lists; if you want to schedule recipes across specific days instead, see Meal Weeks.
