Welcome to Intensivate's Learning Journey for Chisel.

The Learning journey is a simplified hand-holding step by step way for those new to Chisel to quickly and easily ramp up and become productive.

There is also a list of reference material, but that can easily be overwhelming to those new to Chisel, and it can also easily be a time sink for those who are trying to ramp up and get stuff done with the minimum of time invested.

The Learning Journey consists of three stages:

  1. A theoretical introduction,
  2. Short exercises to learn the syntax, and
  3. Standalone project to add an MMIO peripheral to an existing SoC.

The first stage is contained on these Wiki pages. The second stage is outsourced, so after you finish the theory intro, you will be linked to a Chisel Bootcamp page (no download/installation required, you will be running the bootcamp in the cloud). Once you learn the syntax overthere, you are to come back here and we continue on the journey to learn how to use existing work and advance it with our own RTL development.

Here is the step by step Learning journey <== this is the theory intro, just follow the links at the bottom, Prev/Next page.
