Toggle toolbar visibility

Press a keyboard shortcut to hide or show the toolbar, as Hide Toolbar does. It's ⌃D unless you set another.

Turn it on

Open Dia → Settings → Patches → Hide Toolbar and, under Showing the Toolbar, switch on Toggle toolbar visibility. Or run:

diatweaks enable toggleToolbarVisibility

Change the shortcut

Under the switch, click Shortcut and press the keys you want. It needs ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥, unless it's a function key. Press Delete to clear it, or Escape to keep the one you had.

Hide Toolbar. Settings lists this switch on that tweak's page. Once it's on, the shortcut works whether the toolbar is hidden or showing.

FAQ

Does ⌃D still delete forward in text fields?

Yes, and it hides or shows the toolbar too. Set another shortcut if that gets in the way.
