Hide Window Controls
Hides the close, minimize and zoom buttons. ⌘W, ⌘M and the Window menu still work, and you can still drag the window by the sidebar or tab bar.

Open Dia → Settings → Patches and switch on Hide Window Controls. Or run:
diatweaks enable hideTrafficLightsWhy does the sidebar show my profile's name?
That's what Dia shows in the space the buttons leave. Clicking it switches profiles as before.
Does it work with tabs at the top?
Yes. The pinned tabs move into the space.
