Vibranium Block
The Block of Vibranium is a highly durable structural block capable of storing kinetic energy from physical impacts and releasing it as a devastating shockwave.
A Block of Vibranium can only be mined with a Pickaxe of appropriate tier (diamond and above). Breaking a charged block drops a standard uncharged Block of Vibranium.
The Block of Vibranium stores kinetic energy across 10 charge levels (charge state from 0 to 10). Charge is accumulated through physical force:
- Melee Attacks: Striking (left-clicking) the block adds 1 charge level.
- Projectiles: Hitting the block with any projectile adds 1 charge level.
- Fall Impact: Falling onto the block from a height greater than 2 blocks adds up to 4 charge levels (1 level per 3 blocks fallen).
- Fall Damage: Players and entities land safely without taking any fall damage when landing on a Block of Vibranium, as all kinetic energy is absorbed by the block.
- Acoustic Pitch: Each charge increment triggers a metallic anvil sound effect, with pitch increasing dynamic to the current charge level.
As energy accumulates, the block glows brighter. At maximum charge (10), the block emits a full light level of 15.
Stored kinetic energy can be discharged intentionally:
- Manual Discharge: Right-clicking the block with an empty hand or while sneaking triggers the release of stored energy.
- Redstone Trigger: Receiving a redstone pulse immediately triggers the release of stored kinetic energy.
Discharging the block releases a kinetic shockwave into the surrounding area, damaging and repelling nearby entities before resetting its charge to zero.
