DAY 1 - Notes and Details:

Today was the first day we met the team and saw the makers space. It was such an exciting first day at Makers Asylum! We started off introducing ourselves and our projects before playing a fun icebreaker activity (to help understand each other) along with Vaibhav Sir, Anool Sir and Amber mam. Later we then, did a cross-check to see whether we had all our materials and exact quantities for our project Vector. We then learned how GitHub is used for collaboration, version control, and sharing projects through repositories and code programs.

We also had a hands-on session on wood cutting, where we learned how to safely use different tools and techniques to create precise cuts. We created a rectangular 80mm x 40mm wood block to test our skills. Another key activity was soldering, where we practiced joining electronic components and accordingly created a small LED light Makers Asylum badge which can be attached on to our tshirts.

Throughout the day, we explored various electronic components such as sensors, microcontrollers, resistors, LEDs, and other hardware used in engineering projects. We learned about their functions, applications, and how they work together in real-world systems.

Overall, Day 1 was filled with learning, making, and exploring new technologies. Looking forward to building more exciting projects and learning about 3D printing and laser cutting in Day 2
