Installation

PartyLink must be installed on the server and on every client that should see the HUD, the settings screen and ping markers.

  • Players without PartyLink can still join a PartyLink server. They can use all /party commands and party chat, but they see no HUD, no markers and no settings screen.
  • A PartyLink client on a server without PartyLink simply shows nothing.
  • Client and server need the same PartyLink protocol. 2.0.x and 1.2.x use the same protocol and work together in both directions (a 1.2.x client simply has the old HUD settings). A 1.1.x client on a 1.2.x/2.0.x server (or the other way round) keeps working, but without HUD and markers. Update both sides.

Downloads per loader and Minecraft version

Download the file that matches both your loader and your Minecraft version. The file name tells you which one it is, for example partylink-neoforge-26.3-2.0.0.jar.

  3. The log shows these lines on a successful start:
    PartyLink initialized ...
    PartyLink commands registered: /party, /partylink, /pl, /pc
