Meeting notes

  • Correctness findings (#777)

    • Courtney to do cursory review (Haipeng reviewed)

  • Long-term plan for capgen-v1 branch?

    • UFS points to a hash of feature/capgen-v1
    • Will do a Merge Commit from feature/capgen-v1 to develop (Dom noted this in bold letters in the PR)

  • Documentation PR

    • Mike still wants to review; Dustin has a couple remaining action items
    • UFS to do release in the next month or so - will need this PR in for that

  • Github Enterprise stuff

    • Anything under the “NCAR” github org - no external folks allowed to be admins
    • There will be changes to UCAR software licenses for some software - unclear what yet
    • Dom: What’s the role of the funding agency?
      • Copyright exists with UCAR unless funding agency has explicitly stated that the software MUST fall under certain license
        • Some versions of some software might eventually be used for profit
        • Our copyright agreement probably still stands (is OK)
      • Might need to move CCPP repos to a different organization - TBD on timing, where

  • Update wiki

    • On Mike’s to-do list - maybe this week

  • NEPTUNE update

    • Can run 2 instances now!
    • Clean-up PR to follow in the physics

  • Oktoberfest @ Dom's Saturday, September 26 Starting at 4:00 PM
