capgen-v1 updates

  • PR open for review; no one has gotten the chance to look at it
  • Documentation needs to go in with PRs that Dustin is opening up
    • Docs live in another repo
    • Dustin to take the lead (first, identifying new sections and what needs to change); Mike has time to review, but probably not for writing
  • Dom cleaning up files one by one in #764 (WIP)
    • Also moving more things into the SIMA compatibility layer
    • This is the PR that is needed for the CAM-SIMA’s branches
  • Wiki needs updating - out of date
  • Will have a broader code walkthrough for developers - TBD
  • Next week, ccpp-physics developers meeting have requested overview for UFS
    • They don’t care about internal stuff, but want to know what changes on their end
  • Dustin opening UFS PRs today
