Installation

Requirements

• Paper 1.21.4 or newer, up to 26.2. Paper-based servers such as Purpur should also work. Plain Spigot and Folia are not supported.
• Java 21 or newer (Paper 26.x itself needs Java 25).
• Optional: PlaceholderAPI, for placeholders.

Install

1. Download hounded-<version>.jar from the releases and put it in your server's plugins/ folder.
2. Start or restart the server. Hounded creates plugins/Hounded/config.yml and messages.yml.
3. Join as an operator: you'll get a short start guide in chat until the first round is played.

Hounded sends anonymous usage stats through bStats; see the FAQ to turn it off.

Updating

Replace the jar and restart. Your config.yml and messages.yml are never overwritten. New options use their defaults until you add them, and missing messages fall back to the bundled English.
