Placeholders

With PlaceholderAPI installed, these work anywhere PlaceholderAPI does: scoreboards, tab lists, chat and holograms. No eCloud download is needed, because Hounded registers them itself.

Placeholder Shows
%hounded_role% The player's role (runner or hunter)
%hounded_state% The round state, e.g. "Hunt in progress"
%hounded_timer% Hunt time, e.g. 12:34
%hounded_headstart% Headstart time left
%hounded_distance% For hunters: blocks to where their compass points
%hounded_target% For hunters: the runner they're tracking
%hounded_runners_left% Runners still in the round
  • Values are plain text, with no colours, so you can style them yourself.
  • A placeholder that doesn't apply to the player is empty. For example, %hounded_distance% is empty for runners.
  • Values update once a second.
  • Role and state names come from role.name.* and state.* in messages.yml, so they follow your translation.

Test one in game with /papi parse me %hounded_state%.
