Icons and Logos
The application embeds the approved Ramrattan shield and uses outline SVG controls. Saved-site icons retain their own colours, and the tile editor supports a custom image URL. Arial/Helvetica system fonts and embedded branding avoid runtime dependencies on Google Fonts or Rentals.
Automatic discovery tries site paths, then Google, DuckDuckGo and icon.horse. Clearbit and FaviconKit were removed. For ChatGPT, OpenAI's official icon is tried first, with legacy chat.openai.com mapped to chatgpt.com for icon lookup only. The saved tile URL is not rewritten.
Icons are displayed without an anonymous CORS requirement. Images narrower than 16px are skipped; this is an undersized-image check, not reliable placeholder detection. Legitimate 16x16 favicons and cached sources remain usable. Failed or undersized cached sources trigger discovery. If every source fails, a letter monogram appears.
Use the tile menu's Refresh icon to replace a cached source that still loads but is wrong. The owner accepted the ChatGPT icon fix at 0c22c32. The later 16px correction is covered by CI with decodable fixtures, not separate owner acceptance.
The official OpenAI icon filename contains a build hash and may change; fallback sources remain. Network icon requests can disclose the saved-site domain.
