7.1 Hardware & Sensor Testing

Scope

Validation of electrical, sensor, and drive subsystems independent of full software stack.

Test Categories

• Power: battery discharge curves, BMS charge/discharge cycling, voltage regulator output stability
• Sensors: LiDAR scan accuracy/range, depth camera calibration, IMU drift, encoder tick accuracy
• Drive System: motor response/PWM calibration, differential drive straight-line tracking
• Docking: IR beacon detection range/reliability, charging contact alignment success rate
• Communication: UART link integrity (SBC↔MCU) under load
