Journal
Every change to stock is recorded — who, when, what, how many, where and from which part of the app. The journal is the answer to "we had three of those yesterday".

A correction that only changed a best-before date shows BBD instead of +0.
Not delivered is the odd one out: it is the only type that records something that did not happen to your stock. It comes from closing a delivery check with a shortfall. Booking stock for it would invent packs you never received; leaving no trace at all would make the shortfall unprovable later. So the line exists, and the amount is grey.
Where the booking came from: Scanner, Stocktake, Delivery, Item list or Batch (the batch controls on the location and item pages). Without this you could see that two packs left the house, but never how.
A removal spanning several batches produces one line per batch, each with its own location and best-before date. FEFO can reach across locations, and lumping it into a single line would make "which shelf?" unanswerable.
Item, location, user and booking type, combinable. The filter state lives in the URL, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or sent to someone.
The location filter deliberately offers every location that appears in the journal, including retired ones — otherwise the history of a location you stopped using would become unreachable.
Older entries load 100 at a time.
Journal entries survive the deletion of their item: the name stays readable, greyed out and no longer clickable. The name is a snapshot from the time of booking.
Location names are not snapshotted, deliberately: renaming a location updates the history too, because it is still the same physical place.
The journal begins with the version that introduced it. Bookings made before that were never recorded and cannot be reconstructed.
