Galaxy and Powerplay

Galaxy & Powerplay

The ⚑ GALAXY tab is your political awareness page: Powerplay, background simulation (BGS) factions, conflicts, community goals and your squadron — all captured from your own journal as you arrive in each system.

Local journal intelligence — Frameshift records what your game reports when you arrive. It does not claim a live, galaxy-wide BGS or Powerplay view; revisit a system to build your own on-device history.

Powerplay (2.0)

New to Powerplay? It's the galaxy's cold war: twelve Powers compete for control of inhabited space, and pledged commanders earn merits and persistent ranks by hauling, fighting and exploring for their Power. The first Powerplay module unlocks at rank 34; all twelve are available by rank 97. Pledge from the galaxy map's POWERPLAY tab.

Once pledged, the card shows your Power, rating and merits (with a this-session tally), and — for the system you're in — the controlling Power, control progress, and whether the system was reinforced or undermined this cycle.

System factions

Every faction in the system with influence bars, government and allegiance, active/pending/recovering states, who controls the system, and your personal reputation chips (ALLIED, CORDIAL, HOSTILE…).

Local conflicts

Wars and elections with their stakes (what each side wagers) and days-won score — first to four days takes the stake. The card explains how to support a side correctly: conflict zones and combat bonds for wars; missions, trade and other non-combat support for elections (elections have no conflict zones).

Community goals

Any community goal your journal has seen: title, progress, your tier and contribution, time remaining.

Squadron

Your squadron's name and your rank, from the journal at login.
