PCEdit

A save-file editor for the game The Planet Crafter — view and edit players, world terraforming, inventories, logistics containers and terra tokens, and teleport a player between locations.

PCEdit is an unofficial fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the developers of The Planet Crafter.

Warning

PCEdit writes over the save file you opened — there is no "Save As" (the one exception is Repair, which always writes a new file). Since v1.3.0 it copies the original aside before it first writes to a file, but that is a safety net rather than a substitute: keep your own backup as well. A bad edit can corrupt a save and lose progress. See the Disclaimer.

What PCEdit can edit

Page What it does Details
Overview Player summary, per-planet terraforming levels (oxygen, heat, pressure, plants, insects, animals, purification), and a warning with Repair for a save left with over-full containers Overview & Terraforming
Inventories Browse every inventory in the save, find inventories and items by name or id, see which containers you built, move items (or part of a stack) from one inventory to another Inventories
Logistics Edit a logistics container's demand groups, supply groups and priority Logistics Editor
Terra Tokens Grant terra tokens to a player Terra Tokens
Teleport Move one player to a landmark, a world's arrival point, or raw X/Y/Z coordinates Teleport

Saves from the interplanetary update span several planets; where PCEdit can work out which world something belongs to, it says so — see Worlds & Planets.

For developers

PCEdit is a .NET 10 solution: a dependency-free save-file library, a UI-framework-agnostic app layer, and an Avalonia desktop head.
