Giveaways

Giveaways use the Points feature to let eligible viewers join for a limited time. Winners receive a random point prize from the range you choose.

Set the rules

1. Turn on Points for the channel.
2. Open Points, then Settings.
3. Expand Giveaways.
4. Set Time to enter (seconds).
5. Set the Smallest prize and Largest prize.
6. Choose the Number of winners.
7. Choose Who can enter: everyone, subscribers, or followers when follower checks are available.
8. Set Wait between giveaways.
9. Select Save changes.

Follower-only giveaways require the bot account to be allowed to check followers, and the bot must be a moderator in the Twitch channel.

Start a giveaway

Giveaways only start while the Twitch channel is live.

1. Open Points, then Dashboard.
2. Find Giveaway.
3. Select Start.
4. Tell viewers to use the channel's Join giveaway chat command. The common command is !join, but it may have been changed in Points settings.

Each eligible viewer can join once. People who joined updates while the giveaway is open.

Finish or cancel

• Select End to close entry, choose the configured number of winners, and award prizes.
• Select Cancel to stop the giveaway without selecting winners.

Completed winners and prizes appear under Winners and in the Points Recent changes table.

If a giveaway will not start, check that the channel is live, no giveaway is already running, and the cooldown since the last giveaway has ended.
