Guessing games

A guessing game lets viewers choose from answers you set up, then records the winning answer and channel results.

Turn on the game

1. Select the correct channel.
2. Open Channel setup.
3. Turn on Guessing game under Chat tools.
4. Open Guessing game, then Settings.

Create a round type

A round type is a reusable version of the game, such as "Will we win?" or "How many attempts?"

1. Expand Round types.
2. Enter a new round type name and select Create.
3. Edit Round type name if needed.
4. Select Use by default when this should be preselected on the dashboard.
5. Set Points for a winning guess. Use 0 when no point reward is wanted.

Add the answers

1. Expand Accepted answers.
2. Select Add answer for each choice viewers may make.
3. Enter the answer and, if wanted, a bot reply for that answer.
4. Select Whisper only when a connected custom bot is ready to send answer replies privately.

You can use {name} and {login} in an answer reply.

Choose the chat commands

Expand Chat commands to change the words used for:

• Start round;
• Stop guessing;
• Declare winner;
• Player guess;
• Available guesses.

Separate extra command words with commas. Start, stop, and winner commands are for moderators. The common viewer commands are !guess <answer> and !guesses, but your channel may use different words.

Expand Bot replies when you want to change what the bot says at each stage. Select Save changes when setup is complete.

Run a live round

1. Open Guessing game, then Dashboard.
2. Stay on the Live tab.
3. Choose the Round type.
4. Select Start round.
5. Let viewers submit guesses in Twitch chat. Each viewer keeps their first valid guess for the round.
6. Select Stop guessing when no more guesses should be accepted.
7. Enter the Winner name exactly as it appears in the accepted answers.
8. Select Declare win.

The Votes area shows guesses for the current round.

Review results

• Use History to see completed rounds.
• Use Leaderboard to filter results by date, round type, or viewer.
• Use Public leaderboards when viewers should see rankings without dashboard access.
