WARNING: A severe security problem in the Java library log4j has been found. In order to fix this security problem, please update MultiMC and restart MultiMC, to get an updated version of log4j with security mitigations. More information here. Please note that Hardcore Alchemy does not officially run on multiplayer (either LAN or dedicated), and has not been tested with other launchers besides MultiMC. Nevertheless, please do not even attempt to run Hardcore Alchemy on multiplayer, as it will immediately put your computers at risk of being hacked (UNLESS you are 100% sure that all computers involved are running the a version of log4j that has the security patch. But seriously, do you really want to take that risk? Just don't do it). I will keep you informed if the security situation changes.

The Hardcore Alchemy modpack is a hardcore/magic/survival modpack. The guide to the pack is available here in the wiki, and is also craftable in-game with two pieces of dirt.

  • (2021-11-21) Released Hardcore Alchemy mod suite version 0.7.1. This release mainly fixes bugs introduced by version 0.7.0 of the mod suite. Because 0.7.0 did not add new features, there will not be a modpack release for this version.
  • (2021-11-06) Released Hardcore Alchemy mod suite version 0.7.0. The capstone mod has been split up into several smaller mods, for easier maintenence. Because there are no new features, there will not be a modpack release for this version.
  • (2021-09-26) Released Hardcore Alchemy modpack version 0.6.1, with dimensional flux crystals, more modded wood recipes, and a change to how reeds cope with winter.
  • (2021-07-03) Released Hardcore Alchemy modpack version 0.6.0, with a new version of Embers, Embers/Thaumcraft metal integration, and a nerf to Ars Magica spellcasting outside the overworld.
  • (2021-03-14) Released Hardcore Alchemy modpack version 0.5.0, with nutrition overlay, upgrade guide, inventory shuffle fix, and lots more bugfixes.
