Dubgefahren-vX.Y.Z-win64.zipfrom the releases page. - Unzip it. It contains the folder
Dubgefahren.vst3, the README and the license. - Copy the whole
Dubgefahren.vst3folder toC:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\(Windows asks for administrator rights). - Start your DAW and rescan plugins. Dubgefahren appears as an instrument (category Instrument | Synth).
The binaries are not code-signed. If Windows SmartScreen warns when you open the zip or the plugin, choose More info → Run anyway, or unblock the zip in its file properties before unzipping.
The macOS build is a universal VST3 (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11 or newer). It is built and validated automatically on GitHub Actions, but it has not been tested on real hardware and it is not notarized. There is no AU version.
- Download
Dubgefahren-vX.Y.Z-macos.zipfrom the releases page (not every release has one). - Unzip it and copy the whole
Dubgefahren.vst3folder to~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/. - Remove the quarantine flag, otherwise macOS refuses to load the plugin:
xattr -cr ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Dubgefahren.vst3 - Start your DAW and rescan plugins.
The config file is at ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Dubgefahren.vst3/Contents/Resources/Dubgefahren.config.json
(see Kits and Configuration). If you try it, feedback is very welcome.
See Building from Source. build.ps1 install (run in an administrator PowerShell) copies
the freshly built plugin to the VST3 folder.
Replace the Dubgefahren.vst3 folder with the new one. If you customised
Contents\Resources\Dubgefahren.config.json (see Kits and Configuration), keep a copy of it
first — or install with build.ps1 install, which never overwrites an existing config.
Your DAW projects keep all settings: the plugin state carries a version number and newer versions load older states.
Delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Dubgefahren.vst3.
Your kits stay in Documents\Dubgefahren\Kits (or your configured kit folder).
