| Control | Meaning |
|---|---|
| CPU | Load meter of the plugin. |
| Editor follows focus | When on, the slot editor jumps to the slot you last played. Turn it off to keep editing one slot while you play others. Saved with your project. |
| Kit ▾ | Kit menu: Load Factory Kit, New Empty Kit or any .dgkit file in your kit folder. |
| MIDI ▾ | Pad mapping: Pad 1 note (the MIDI note of the first pad) and Pad 1 at top left (flip the pad grid). See MIDI and Host Integration. |
| Import / Export | Load a kit from any file / save the current 16 slots to a file (samples are copied along when exporting to a new kit). |
| PANIC | Stops all sounds immediately (5 ms fade), including latched ones. Effect tails ring out. |
The 16 pads are laid out like a 4×4 pad controller. By default pad 1 (note 36) is bottom left and pad 16 top right; the MIDI menu can put pad 1 at the top left instead (for example for the Intech Grid BU16).
- A pad glows while its sound plays.
- A latched pad shows a light dot with a dark ring in its top right corner; the focus slot (the one the performance controls act on) has an amber outline.
- The slot currently shown in the editor is outlined.
- An empty pad is dark; click it to choose a sound source (Synth or a sample).
- A pad whose sample file is missing is shown in orange.
Left-click and hold a pad to select it and hear it (it plays like Gate mode for as long as you hold, whatever its trigger mode). Right-click a pad for:
- Copy: copy the slot's sound, name and colour
- Paste: paste into this slot
- Reset to Factory Default: reset this slot to its factory siren
- Rename: rename the slot (max. 32 characters)
- Clear Slot: make the slot empty (its colour goes back to green)
- Colour: give the pad one of eight colours (see below)
Pads with a sound source can be coloured to mark groups of sounds — a group is simply several pads with the same colour. Choose from Green (default), Turquoise, Blue, Violet, Pink, Red, Orange and Yellow via right-click → Colour; the current colour is ticked. Empty pads cannot be coloured.
- At rest the colour shows as a shimmer along the bottom of the pad; while the pad plays, the whole pad lights up in its colour with a glow, and the text switches to a dark shade of the same colour.
- The waveform of a sample slot is drawn in the slot colour.
- Copy/Paste carries the colour; Clear Slot and Reset to Factory Default set it back to green; replacing a sample keeps it.
- Colours are saved in the project and in kits. They are not host parameters, so they cannot be automated.
Shows all parameters of the selected slot. For a Synth slot they are grouped in four rows (OSC/AMP, LFO, SWEEP/TRIG, MIX); for a Sample slot the editor shows a waveform strip with the markers S, L and E and the rows SAMPLE/AMP, LOOP/TRIG and MIX. An empty slot shows a hint to click the pad. Drag knobs up/down or sideways; double-click resets to the default. See Slot Parameters and Samples.
See Effects and Performance Controls.
Drag the bottom-right corner to resize the window between 75 % and 200 %. The aspect ratio is fixed; the size is saved with your project. The window got 20 % wider in version 0.6.0, so a size saved by an older version opens wider than before.
