Wishlist and Preorders
Use Wishlist for titles you plan to buy and Preorders for purchases you're waiting to receive. When an order arrives, add it to your library with its purchase details. You can receive the whole order or part of it.
Open Wishlist or Preorders from the category tabs in My Library or Physical Media. My Library also has a Preorders button beside Add media. Enable their optional sidebar links in Settings → General → Sidebar layout; both start off. Your wishlist appears before suggestions and tracks titles you plan to buy, separately from purchased preorders and owned copies.
Choose Add preorder or Preorder on a wishlist entry. Record the title, format, edition, release label, retailer/vendor, quantity, unit price and three-letter currency code, date ordered, expected release and delivery dates, tracking number, order number and notes. You can remove the matching wishlist entry when saving the preorder. Preorders do not count as owned copies.
Choose Bought / add to library on a wishlist entry to add copies you already have. Review the destination and confirm Add to library. The wishlist entry is removed only after the copies are saved; no preorder is created.
When an order arrives, choose Mark Delivered. To review several orders, choose Select → Select All → Mark Delivered, or select individual orders on the current page. Clear selection exits selection mode. You can skip an order or stop reviewing; confirmed deliveries stay saved.
Enter the quantity arriving now and the delivery date. Physical is the default; review format, location and condition. Games also need a console/platform. Choose Add as New Copy to open the media form with these details filled in, or Match to Existing to find a library title and choose a matching physical edition or a new edition. Confirm delivery saves the copies and history together. Each confirmation receives up to 100 physical copies; an order can contain up to 999. Partial deliveries leave the remainder outstanding.
Choose Digital for a purchase on a digital platform. Enter the platform/store, format or quality and optional link. Add a new title or match an existing one, then confirm. This saves purchased-platform records, without creating physical ownership or claiming verified playback access. A title can contain up to 30 digital purchase/code records.
Use Search My Library for existing titles, or Search saved metadata and Offline Metapacks for reference details. Review any selected reference. The selected match and the source of its details are saved; applying its details to an existing title is optional. Digital purchases use title-level matches. Exact physical identifiers are required for physical edition-level matches.
Physical copies appear in the corresponding library and Physical Media, with their purchase facts in the selected edition's information. Digital purchases appear under Digital purchases & codes. Title, release type, edition and ordered quantity are fixed after the first delivery. Purchase details, tracking and notes can still be updated; earlier delivery records retain their original purchase details.
The default Awaiting delivery view hides fully received and cancelled orders. Choose Received, Cancelled or All orders to find them, or search by title, label, vendor or order number. Order history shows deliveries and links to the library title. Cancelling retains the order and any copies already received. Remove order asks for confirmation. For an order with deliveries, it also removes that order’s history while keeping received library copies and their purchase details. Removing a library copy later leaves its delivery history intact.
Dates, prices, tracking numbers and delivery status are entered manually. Blank Box does not poll retailers or shipping carriers. Prices have up to two decimal places and represent a unit price; no tax, shipping, exchange-rate or total-cost calculation is performed. Complete catalog exports and recovery retain preorders and delivery records.
