Flying Scot: Pre-racing check list

1. Arrive early and move the boat to the dock to be the first one to leave
2. Mast rake: 28'4" - 28'5.5"
3. Battens: flexible side to leech
4. Hook jib tack shackle around forestay
5. Electrical tape around forestay extension
6. Install main sail cleat
7. Test for loose fittings and adjustment ranges, oil as needed
   • shock cord for spinnaker downhaul
   • Lanyard on spinnaker pole
   • Outhaul, cunnningham, boom vang
8. Jib sheet knot about 6" away from clew
9. Leave boom crutch in back to push boom away on downwind legs
