- Sets of 6 tacks/gybes (x4 times)
- Coordinate weight balance (roll tacks)
- Sheet tension
- Count seconds until full speed is reached
- Spinners (x2)
- 4 times in each direction
- Spinnaker sets/take downs (x4)
- Boat balance: keep boat on course
- Tie tiller or go rudderless
- If boat falls off -> trim sail or heel to leeward
- If boat heads up -> ease main & flatten boat
- Figure 8s
- Marks 2 boat lengths apart
- 2 figure 8 in each direction
- Timed starts
- Set 1 minute timer
- Practice vanderbilt starts
- E.g.: 26 secs down, tack 8 secs, 26 secs back
- Windward mark roundings (x4 each)
- Port/starboard approach
- Same as above, followed by a gybe
- Leeward mark roundings (x4 each)
- Keep boat flat
- Stay wide on approach, close as you round up
- Judge wind direction b4 rounding to determine course after rounding
